Littlest Angel
On December 28, 1996, God sent an Angel to me
This angel saved my life
Just walking across the street, she lost her life but then
This angel is helping me to breathe a new life
One where I can laugh without coughing
Take the deep breaths I could not take before
A life without struggling to walk up the stairs at home
To do the things I could not do for the first 23 years of my life
Thank you God for giving me the opportunity to experience a new and different life
To fulfill the dreams I have had of doing things I could not do before
Thank you to the angel’s family for giving me a new lease on life
And letting a part of your angel live on within me
I believe your angel has received both the wings and the gold halo
For your angel has saved my life
I believe also that your angel will always be with me
Not only in the way of new lungs
Also to help me along the path that God has laid out for me
And also in spirit
